Laboratory of Instructional Methodology and Practicum

In this laboratory, which is appropriately equipped, students practice:

  1. various teaching skills and teaching techniques by applying various models (by D. Allen, K. Ryan, Stanford University, the cognitive model, etc.)through the use/implementation of Microteachings.Microteachings are held in virtual classrooms which consist of groups of 15 students, using closed-circuit television. Microteachings are offered in the framework of the course “Teaching Methodology I” (4th semester).
  2. the application of the Project Method: students become familiar with modern teaching methods in order to become able to respond to the demands of our education system in terms of the interdisciplinary approach of subjects as required nowadays by the primary education curriculum, mainly using the Project Method and group teaching. Particular emphasis is given to the planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching. The application of the project method is held in the framework of the course “Teaching Methodology II” (5thsemester).
