| The course’s general purpose is developing the communication capacity of the four basic language skills in German(understanding and producing spoken and written language) at the A2- language level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Languages.
After completing the course, students will be able to: · understand written and spoken texts of A1-Α2 language level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Languages (CECRL) · answer reading comprehension questions regarding these texts, · present a summary of their meaning in Greek, · produce written and spoken texts of A1-Α2 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Languages (CECRL), · gain essential knowledge of German morphosyntax, · process unfamiliar vocabulary by using metacognitive strategies |

- COURSE CONTENT
| The teaching material is in the form of an open portfolio, so that it can be readjusted on the basis of the interests and needs of the students. It is mainly based on texts related to the German civilization and to Pedagogical subjects. It is drawn from German textbooks, electronic resources, books, magazines etc. and it is of graded difficulty.
Some indicative sections are: • Discover German, German-speaking countries and their civilizations • Travel to a German-speaking city/country METHOD The communicative method of language teaching is applied, as well as the active experiential approach. Work projects are proposed through the use of new technologies, in the context of an interdisciplinary approach. Emphasis is placed on teamwork. Online collaborations with German and other foreign universities (Friedrich Schiller Universität Jena, Universitäten in Lateinamerika, Universitäten in Ostasien) for the production of material in transnational groups are also carried out.

| Implementation Instructions: | The written assignment has to be submitted through the e-class e-learning platform, on a predetermined deadline.
The final written examination will beadministeredonline, remotely and synchronously, on a predetermined date, in the e-class e-learning platform. It will be proctored using an MS Teams live session. Students need to sing in using their academic credentials, position their cameras so that they can be seen and mute their microphones. Before the exam, they should present their student ID in order to be identified. |

1. Recognize the alphabet of the visual language, and use it to compose their own images-visual compositions, expressing their creativity and transmitting their own messages to the viewer. They will also be able to evaluate their compositions according to specific criteria (MA8) 2. - COURSE CONTENT
| The course has an experiential character and seeks to acquire practical knowledge, practical skills and competences related to personal and professional development. The purpose of the course is to introduce the basic elements of artistic formation. Specifically, the 13 three-hour sessions are as follows:
1. Introduction. Elaborating key questions with a following-up discussion: What is art. Its necessity in our lives. Purpose of teaching Art Education at school, objectives of the course. Creativity. First meeting with team members. 2. Experiential workshop: A circle of acquaintance, the visual game as a means of communication and enhancement of linguistic expression. Drawing and painting as a symbolic language. 3. Introduction to the basic elements of visual design: Software projection by the Pedagogical Institute. 4. Experiential workshop: Compositions only with points, with points and lines, with points, lines and shapes, listening to music. Presentation and commentary of the projects. 5. Editing of themes from the book by Olga Kozakou Tsiara, Introduction to visual elements, with power point. 6. Observation of works of art, from the Antiquity to the present day. Selection of an image from the visual material for individual editing. Discussion on the basic questions of approach to the work of art. Drawing and painting on the occasion of the works while listening to music. 7. Color and its teaching. Definition. The importance of color in our lives. Characteristics-properties of paint. Basic and complementary, auxiliary or neutral colors. Nuance and tone. Colors and emotions. The seven color contrasts. Colors and Culture. Color therapy, art therapy. 8. (9. 10.) Three three-hour experiential workshops with practical applications-color teaching activities. Presentation of the “Indicative teaching programme for one academic year at school”. 11. History of art: Main European artistic movements and periods, with emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries. Important artists and their work: Utilization of works of art in school with an interdisciplinary approach. View images with power point. 12. Free drawing, composition exercises with pencil, perspective visualization of space. 13. Preparation for the exams, with emphasis on composition, color and the main artistic movements. Presentation of indicative works of students and discussion on the evaluation criteria of their artistic compositions for the purpose of self-evaluation.
